Kona 2018 - race day -15

Lazy morning, knocked up some banana/chia porridge with Vanilla coffee & watched some surfing on TV until the lure of the ocean was too much and - I headed out to the pier for a swim.
Opted for jammers (instead of a swimskin) and slapped the factor 50 on accordingly. felt really relaxed and strong today - it's was easy to push hard in the heat yesterday but equally easy to rest, refuel and recover & I feel ready to go hard again - be patient.
Back to the condo for another coffee and a 'group WhatsApp' with Faye, Maki & Grant - I even dressed for the occasion.
Cooked up some bacon & pancakes for lunch - setting off the smoke alarm in the process. Legs felt good so decided to throw in an unplanned 5K to aid acclimatisation. Pretty good but looking at the HR, it's clear more 'heat' work to be done.
Took a wander out of town to the 'Umekes Fish market Bar and Grill', a place that I ran by earlier. The food was excellent, will return for sure.
