Kona 2018 - race day +6 ๐

Last day in paradise....
Up early for a short easy jog with Faye - well, 5K at Ironman pace felt good but was enough for today. Was fun recapping on an awesome week (or 3 1/2 weeks for some).
Quick shower and coffee then off to the Mauna Lani beach for a swim and snorkel.
Had a bit of horizontal time and a last visit to the Beach Club bar for a chocolate ice cream milkshake.
Took a stroll to the hotel beach and spotted this guy...
Took a few more pictures along the way.
Returned later to film our shelled friend in his natural habitat - very special.
Packed up, checked out and went to the Mauna Lani mall to pick up lunch to eat at the pool
We refuelled the car and had coffee and snacks in Waikoloa before heading for the airport - and eventually flying to LA.
What an incredible trip!
